📚 Apprenticeship Details

UK Apprentice Minimum Wage (2025): £6.40/hour for apprentices under 19 or in first year. After first year and if 19+, standard NMW rates apply: £12.21 (21+), £10.00 (18-20)

🎓 Training & Development

Legal Requirement: Apprentices must spend at least 20% of their paid working hours on off-the-job training. This includes: formal learning, mentoring, practical training, shadowing, industry visits. It does NOT include English/Maths unless part of the apprenticeship.

📊 Support & Progress Reviews

Legal Requirement: Regular progress reviews must be conducted with the apprentice, employer, and training provider to assess development, set goals, and ensure the apprentice is on track to complete successfully.

🖖 Holiday & Leave

UK Statutory Minimum: 28 days (5.6 weeks) paid holiday per year including bank holidays. Apprentices have the same entitlement as other employees.

📝 Notice Periods & Termination

Important: During the first 6 weeks, either party can terminate with 1 week's notice. After 6 weeks, standard employment law applies. Apprenticeships can end early only in specific circumstances (mutual agreement, gross misconduct, genuine redundancy, etc.)
