A sexual harassment risk assessment is a written record that identifies where workers could be at risk of sexual harassment — including by third parties such as clients and customers — and sets out the controls and actions an employer will take. Since 26 October 2024 employers have had a proactive duty to take reasonable steps to prevent sexual harassment of their workers. A tribunal can increase compensation by up to 25% where an employer has not taken those steps, and compensation for harassment is uncapped.
